Code of Conduct for all TechPoint Youth Volunteers

This Volunteer Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for individuals volunteering with TechPoint Youth. As representatives of our mission, volunteers play a vital role in fostering a safe, respectful, and enriching environment for teachers, students, and the communities we serve. By adhering to these guidelines, volunteers help ensure our success and uphold our values.

1. Communication Guidelines

  • Use clear, respectful, and professional language in all interactions with students, teachers, staff, and fellow volunteers.

  • Be approachable and patient, encouraging open dialogue and active participation.

  • Maintain transparency in communication, ensuring messages are accurate and aligned with the organization's goals.

  • Avoid inappropriate or overly personal discussions, especially when interacting with students.

2. Commitment to Service

  • Honor all commitments made to volunteer assignments and notify the organization promptly if circumstances prevent participation.

  • Arrive on time and prepared to fulfill your volunteer responsibilities.

  • Support the organization's mission by contributing your time and skills effectively and enthusiastically.

  • Act as a team player, offering assistance when needed and collaborating with others to achieve shared goals.

3. Commitment to Learning and Growth

  • Stay informed about the organization’s goals, programs, and policies.

  • Actively seek opportunities to improve your skills and knowledge related to robotics, STEM education, and effective volunteering practices.

Consequences for Violations
Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in immediate removal from your volunteer placement and disqualification from future volunteer opportunities. The organization’s staff reserve the right to take appropriate action to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
